Amy Jacobson began her career at 体育菠菜大平台 in 2009 as a student designer, transitioning to a full-time associate graphic designer in 2010 and earning a promotion to senior designer in 2014. She plays a critical role in advancing 体育菠菜大平台’s visual identity, overseeing the design and production of print and digital materials from concept to final delivery.
Jacobson is responsible for creating visually compelling materials such as posters, publications, brochures, direct mail, and digital graphics. She collaborates with university leadership and departments including Athletics, Music, Residence Life, and Student Engagement, ensuring brand consistency across projects.
Jacobson’s expertise in layout, typography, branding and environmental design, combined with her advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as InDesign and Illustrator, keeps 体育菠菜大平台’s branding fresh, relevant and impactful.
A native of Kearney, Jacobson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication and Design from 体育菠菜大平台 in 2010. She also attended the Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Fort Meade, Maryland, in 2012. While serving in the Nebraska Army National Guard from 2011-17, she participated in various missions across the United States, Germany, and Grenada. Attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, Jacobson earned the Army Commendation Medal and other accolades for her contributions as a soldier and broadcast journalist sharing the Nebraska National Guard’s story.
Jacobson has been actively involved on campus, serving on the Staff Senate from 2020-23. A current member of the University & College Designers Association (UCDA), she has been recognized with numerous awards, including a KUDOS Award in 2017 and teamwork awards with Residence Life (2018) and the College of Arts & Sciences (2021).
